Horizontal PFS (Pick-Fill-Seal) Machine
Horizontal PFS (Pick-Fill-Seal) Machine details
About Horizontal PFS (Pick-Fill-Seal) Machine
A Horizontal PFS (Pick-Fill-Seal) machine is an automated packaging system that combines the functions of picking, filling, and sealing in a horizontal configuration. It is commonly used in industries such as food, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and consumer goods, where efficient and precise packaging of various products is required. The PICK-FILL-SEAL Machine is used to pack products in Pre-formed pouches – such as, Stand-up pouches, Zipper pouches, Spouted pouches, Shaped pouches, and all other kinds of Pre-formed pouches.
Multiple products of different textures (Solids, Liquids, Semi-solids, Granules) can be packed within the same Machine. Depending on the type of filling system that is interfaced with the Machine. A single Bagger Machine can be integrated with one or more types of Filling systems.

Flow Wrap Technology Explained: How the Horizontal PFS Machine Seals Products at High Speed
The horizontal pfs packing machine, also referred to as a flow wrap machine or hffs machine, forms a continuous film tube around the product as it travels horizontally, creating a pillow-style seal pack with a fin seal along the product length and cross seals at each end.
This flow wrap technology is fundamentally different from vertical form fill seal because the product is fed lying flat rather than dropped, which means it handles solid, fragile, and irregularly shaped items without impact damage.
Biscuits, chocolate bars, bread rolls, soap bars, and medical devices are all standard applications for a flow wrapping machine because the gentle horizontal infeed maintains product orientation.
Fair Pack’s horizontal flow wrap packaging machine uses servo-driven cross seal jaws that synchronise jaw timing with product pitch automatically, eliminating the manual adjustment that older flow wrap machine designs require when product length changes.
At speeds of 100 to 300 packs per minute, the automatic flow wrap machine delivers the output rates required by large-scale FMCG and food manufacturing lines.
Industrial Flow Wrapping Machine Applications: From FMCG Bakery to Pharmaceutical Packaging
The range of industries served by a high speed flow wrapper is broader than many production managers initially expect.
In bakery and confectionery, the automatic flow wrap machine handles individually wrapped biscuits, wafer bars, energy bars, and cake slices where the film serves as both product protection and the primary consumer-facing print surface.
In pharmaceuticals, the flow wrap machine for FMCG packaging is adapted to medical device packaging, where validated seal integrity adds complexity to the specification but the fundamental sealing mechanism remains the same.
Household goods manufacturers use industrial flow wrapping machines to wrap soap bars, candles, and hardware items in shrink film or laminate.
Fair Pack supplies the horizontal pfs packing machine with multiple film reel configurations and an HMI that stores product programmes, so operators can recall validated machine settings for each SKU with a single touchscreen selection, reducing changeover time on a busy flow wrapper machine production line.
